Essential functions of the job include but not limited to: fueling mass transit vehicles, detailing the interior and exterior of the vehicles, checking/refilling fluids, operating mass transit vehicles and providing assistance to Operations Department in order to trade out vehicles, lifting up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis, completing daily fuel and mileage reports. The minimum requirements for this position is: must be at least 21 years of age; must successfully complete a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check; must possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement. This can be obtained while employed with Caldwell Transit.
- Hours: Service is operated Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Shifts vary and may include split shifts.
- Wage: Offers paid training at $9.00 an hour. Once training is complete, the hourly rate increases to $9.35 an hour. After six months of employment, the hourly rate will increase. Pay will increase annually. Part-time hours.
